General Bipin Laxman Singh Rawat, also known as CDS Bipin Rawat, was a highly respected four-star general in the Indian Army. He made history by becoming India's first Defense Chief. His appointment as CDS took place on January 1, 2020, after he served as the 57th Chairman of the 26th Staff Committee and the 26th Chief of Staff Indian Army personnel. Throughout his career, CDS Bipin Rawat demonstrated exceptional courage and dedication to his country. He even organized a reunion of the Armed Forces as the first Defense Commander. Sadly, on December 8, 2021, CDS Bipin Rawat, his wife, and staff were involved in a fatal helicopter crash in Tamil Nadu.
