Mumbai

Mumbai, formerly known as Bombay, is a cosmopolitan metropolis and the largest city in India. One of the most populous cities in the world, Mumbai, the capital city of Maharashtra, was formed by merging seven small islands on the Konkan coastline which was later on joined by another neighboring island called Salsette to form what is now known as Greater Bombay. Being the financial and commercial capital of India, Mumbai is home to the biggest stock exchange in the country.
