ABOUT COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING ROORKEE (COER) is a technical university at Delhi-Haridwar National Highway-58, 7 km from Roorkee, Haridwar, Uttarakhand. It is one of the oldest Top Engineering Institution in India and was Founded by Seth Roshan Lal Jain Trust in 1998 as the first private Engineering College in Roorkee and the only best engineering institution other than the famed University of Roorkee (now IIT Roorkee), COER (now COER University) grew by leaps and bounds in the past 25 years under the visionary and dynamic leadership of its founder Chairman Er. J. C. Jain, a postgraduate (M.E.) in Industrial Engineering from BITS Pilani (1971) and an eminent industrialist. On 15th February 2021, the Government of Uttarakhand State has approved COER University as State Private University. The COER University carries the legacy of COER. CAMPUS The University campus is meticulously designed and built and presents a beautiful sight on the busy highway. Spread over 75 acres and draped in predominantly white exterior, the academic, administrative and residential buildings present a welcoming ambience to this temple of learning. Most students live in the hostels, where extracurricular activities complement the academic routine. The campus has 06 hostels, of which two (Gupti Sagar Bhawan and Aklank Bhawan) are occupied by girls. Hostels may accommodate undergraduate and graduate students .Each bhawan has a mess. Mess administration consists of a staff advisor, a chief advisor, and a student mess secretary. PLACEMENT At COER University, we work towards being a premier university in the state of Uttarakhand and a peerless champion in the world flawless of technology, management and education. Therefore, our students go on to shine in various industries and disciplines, along with maintaining values and having a strong work ethic. With steady growth in the number of top companies visiting the campus, they are met with the best and brightest career-ready students. Companies such as Tata, Wipro, Congnizant, Amazon, Flipkart, IBM, HCL, Tech Mahindra, Ashok Layland , metacube, Cisco, Bosch, Reliance, Decathlon, Kotak, Panasonic, etc. have all been part of the placement program, sending their representatives yearly. A 100% placement rate was achieved in the 2023 placement process. Further, the highest package and average package offered during COER University placements 2023 were INR 44 LPA and INR 5.20 LPA, respectively. ZERO TOLERANCE TO RAGGING  Ragging is strictly prohibited within the COER University’sCampus that includes its Institutions/Departments and Hostels.  Ragging in any form is banned in private hostel/buildings where the students are staying  Not a single person, including students/staff/faculty shall participate or propagate ragging in any form  Coer university will provide you the safe and eco-friendly environment.
